Piazza Santo Stefano

From via Santo Stefano one can reach the homonymous Piazza Santo Stefano which is surrounded by historical and beautiful buildings, and which hosts the "seven churches" even if, in truth, there are only four: the Chiesa del Crocifisso dated 1200, the Chiesa del Santo Sepolcro dated 1300, the Basilica dei Santi Vitale e Agricola built between the end of the year 900 and the beginning of the year 1200 (where one can find the remains of the two Saints), and the Chiesa del Calvario.

Piazza Santo Stefano is often the seat of important concerts and events, also thanks to the important buildings that surround it and which give it fame. The square is especially evocative by night and is advised for the visitors from Bologna.
