Home > Lombardy > Milan > Milan > San Cristoforo sul Naviglio
Along the banks of the Grande Naviglio one can find the Chiesa di San Cristoforo sul Naviglio. It is composed of two assembled parts: the left-hand side which dates back to the XIII century and is built according to the Romanesque style, and the other dating back to the XV century and called Cappella Ducale.
The Cappella Ducale was built for want of Gian Galeazzo Visconti so as to commemorate the Patron Saint of the invalid and lepers.
The two parts form a single internal area which is decorated with fresco's which are typical of the Lombard school.
