Ladino Museum

Moena, also called the Dolomites' Fairy, offers numerous attractions: for lovers of sport, nature excursions, for those fond of history and culture and, nearby, an interesting gallery which hosts the ethnographics of the Ladine culture and traditions: the Ladino Museum in Pozza di Fassa.

Over 20 years of study and research are enclosed in the 600 sq.m. of the museum in which several halls cover the different historical and evolutionary phases of the Ladina life; from prehistoric times to the productive activities, social and religious rites, culture and beliefs, to the transformations after the advent of the Gran Tour, mountaineering, and mass tourism.

The Museum was conceived in 1979 and was the first museum in the Trentino Region to diffuse the concept of a dislocated gallery on the territory because, as well as the main site in Vigo di Fassa, it also includes other sections dislocated along the valley, that cover the most important events of the social and historical life of the territory.

The Museo Ladino di Fassa gives the possibility to live unique experiences thanks to the 15 interactive stations where it is possible to choose amongst the 60 short films that narrate the themes contemplated in the different halls.
