Borgo San Giuliano
Home > Emilia-Romagna > Rimini > Rimini > Borgo San GiulianoBorgo San Giuliano is situated in Rimini, on the right hand side of the harbour. Nowadays it is separated from the historical centre by the Ponte di Tiberio. This area is also considered a symbol of the city. Its tight roads and the small squares are an example of antique, popular building style which conserves the characteristic of protecting one's history.
It is rich in Inns and Wine Cellars which, with time, have been transformed into renowned restaurants. The sprit of the Borgo relives during the popular feast which is organised on the streets and in the squares of the district during the month of September.
The "Festa de Borg" was born as an excuse for a repatriation for people who had lived, or still live, in the Borgo. In the centre of the district there is the Church of Saint Giuliano with an eighteenth century monastery that faces the old via Emilia.
