Naples Central Station

The Central Station in Naples hosts 50 million passengers each year, on average 137,000 per day. It has 2 floors and also hosts the urban and suburban railway lines called "Circumvesuviana". It also hosts some underground stops. It is situated in Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi and its main characteristic is its architecture with its triangular columns surmounted by pyramids made of plexiglass. With its wide commercial offers, above all in the small stands present in front of the platforms, passengers can await their departure whilst they shop. There are also bars, newspaper shops, restaurants, and the common services found in railway stations like automatic ticket servics and information desks.

Very characteristic is the Neapolitan Satyrical Souvenir shop which one can visit on the ground floor.
